The Challenge: Every year 20,000 ordinary people help each other race the toughest ultra-marathon on earth. For the months and months of training before that, they are alone. We wanted to change that and support the ordinary people who take on the Comrades, from the real start to the finishing line. The Insight: We knew that every amateur runner competing in the Comrades was doing it for a compelling and even life-affirming reason. We had to find a way of sharing these amazing reasons to help and inspire all those running the race. What we did: For 9 months, from first training run to the finish line, we followed and filmed the real life journey of 4 ordinary people running Comrades 2015, with 4 very different reasons to run.
